"And the Glory of the Lord came into the house by way of the Gate whose prospect is toward the east." Ezekiel 43:4.
"Bab" is Persian for "Gate". The Bab and Baha'u'llah were both from Persia, "east" of Jerusalem.
"The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will
